The NHL is back in full swing and the Calgary Flames might have had a turning-point game on Wednesday. The Pittsburgh Penguins, meanwhile, had a dramatic “wow” collapse against the Detroit Red Wings. The Washington Capitals are getting healthier. The Vegas Golden Knights have a goalie for the NHL trade market. The San Jose Sharks are chasing the season, and did Martin St. Louis make unforced errors behind the Montreal Canadiens bench? Also, is former first-overall pick Alexis Lafreniere on the trade block?

The Flames looked good in a 3-2 win against the Seattle Kraken — at least for the final 20 minutes or so. Could be a jumping off point for the next stage of the NHL Season.

Alexis Lafrieniere is a healthy scratch after a brutal New York Rangers game. Is it a message or an opportunity for someone to scoop him via an NHL trade? Should the Calgary Flames be knocking?
